The Village of Oakfield is seeking a qualified person to fill the part-time position of Public Works and Utilities Laborer. The position is approximately 25 hours per week. Requirements include a high school diploma or G.E.D. as well as a CDL driver’s license (or the ability to obtain a CDL). The Public Works and Utilities Laborer works under the Public Works Director of Operations and fills in for the Director of Operations when he is absent. This person will be involved in all aspects of public works and utilities construction, maintenance of parks and equipment, recordkeeping and reporting within the Village and other duties as required. The position requires availability for emergencies and unforeseen circumstances. This position requires a person with initiative and the ability to work well with others and with village residents. Much of the work is performed outdoors in all types of weather. Starting pay is between $12.50-$14.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
